Back Country Horsemen of Minnesota (BCH-MN) organization is made up of people who share a love for horses and advocate a combination of service and education to keep public lands open to equine use.
Within the State of Minnesota; Back Country Horsemen of Minnesota (BCH-MN) started with one local chapter, Zumbro Bottoms Back Country Horsemen of Minnesota (ZB BCH-MN) with a mission statement to work within the Zumbro Bottoms area.
Many people also use the other parks and state forest areas (Forestville State Park, Lake Louse State Park, Reno Horse Camp, Money Creek/Vinegar Ridge campground, Oakridge/Wet Bark Recreation Area, Hay Creek, Etc.) in southeast Minnesota and saw a need in theses areas.
The Southeast Minnesota Back Country Horsemen of Minnesota (SE MN BCH) was formed to assist the various federal, states, and local land managers maintain and improve trails and campgrounds in these areas.
